Rejuvenation of Indian Culture

Indian Culture, we define it as one of the best culture of the world. But there is an unseen fact which lies behind this image of greatness of this culture. The concept of Inequality. Inequality of caste, inequality of Gender, Inequality of Class, inequality of almost everything. In spite of this huge loophole of inequality, we feel proud to tell the world that our culture in the best, which it is not. In the earlier times, the customs and traditions were based on the the circumstances then, they need to be changed but then they are not. This create a social conflict for the people of Modern India whether to follow the culture or to live according to their wish. Basically, I would like to highlight the Gender Inequality area.

As it is seen, the people of the country say that women are respected in the country but they are not. It is the Patriarchal System which is one of the reason for this disrespect and Inequality in gender. Women are always considered inferior to the men.
It is very popular under our culture that women are meant to sit at home after marriage and take care of the household. Though the metro cities have high percentage of working women, the same in the other areas is very less. The reason behind this is from childhood a girl is taught that after marriage you have to take care of the family, but no one teach them to work and earn for the family. In India, as far as my knowledge is concern, a girl only works if she has no earning member in the family.

The solution to these is education. Get this women educated and free them out of the household work. I think WORK SHOULD NOT BE DECIDED ACCORDING TO THE GENDER, BUT IT SHOULD BE DECIDED ACCORDING TO THE ABILITY AND PROFESSION. Women are not meant for doing household work. Let the women get educated and let them do work. If this does not happens, there can never be growth of women. Let the people like maids and nannies do the work of the household, who have the adopted this work and profession. If the question is about taking care of the children then both, father and mother should take care of him equally by taking a leave from their professional work according to the situations.

Another observation which I have been given by a lady is in the whole world, a woman is known by the name of his Husband. For eg. Mrs. Hozefa Malek (in my case). This is not right according to me. If I had a right then I would also abolish the system of a woman taking up her man’s surname. This is sheer Inequality. In some cultures, a man can marry 3 women and woman can only have one. This should be equal for all men and women with only one marriage per person, irrespective of the gender.

Coming to a Legal point, from the moment I was born, I have grown up seeing women asking for their rights, movements and politics done for Women’s Reservation in one area and another. In my view, talking extensively about only women will also ruin the culture. Are we that needy that we have ask for rights and reservations exclusively for women? Why do we give so much importance to the gender? Why have reservations in every area of the society? Why do we have separate coaches for Women in the railways? Why do we have specials commissions for only women?
The answer lies in inequality. Just abolish the system of Inequality in the society and there will be no need of any reservations, separate coaches, commissions for the women of the country. Just requires an agenda for changing the culture, changing the people, changing the society. After this the result would be women will automatically and  actively participate in all the areas of the society, be it Politics, Economics, sports, industry etcetera.

CHANGE YOUR PERCEPTION TOWARDS THE WOMEN AND LET HER GROW and I AM SURE WE WILL HAVE NO NEED TO HAVE ANY WOMEN’s DAY.
RESPECT AND TREAT EVERYBODY EQUALLY AND THERE WILL BE NO EVIL IN THE SOCIETY.
